How do air coolers work?
Air coolers, which are also known as evaporative coolers, work by providing effective cooling to rooms by evaporating water. They pull in warm air from the room and pass it through a wet pad or filter. As the air flows over the water, particles which are on the water's surface are carried away.
Heat is taken with these particles and this allows the air to cool. In most cases, the cooler releases a fine mist into the air, which is then whipped out by a fan. Some air coolers may cool the air using a different method.
How effective are air coolers?
