Welcoming The Wounded

On the 11th of September 2015, the fantastic charity ‘Walking with The Wounded’ completed their massive 20 mile trek from Tadcaster Grammar School to YESSS’s headquarters in Normanton at around 4:30pm. The charity sees to aid injured war veterans by going on a series of walks across Britain. In total, the WWTW team plan to travel a total of 1,000 miles; starting at Dufftown in northern Scotland and finishing at Buckingham Palace in London- raising money from donations in the process. As a proud patron of the cause, YESSS threw a celebratory BBQ with champagne, sandwiches and cake, to fill those hungry bellies. Walkers were greeted by a vast host of people including The mayor, town crier, hornblower, YESSS staff and customers, military wives choir members and an Army squadron based in Ripon.
